I know it wasn't that long ago I asked for prayers. I am so grateful for the prayerful support of this community. We really need prayers here today.
Kyler (leukemia survivor) woke up this morning with swollen nodes down one side of his neck and a rather large one behind his ear. Yesterday he woke up with a nose bleed. After a day of phone calls and red-tape his oncologist suggested we not wait until Monday, but go ahead and take him to the ER. I'm waiting for dh to get home and then taking him to the ER for blood work.
Please pray we are all just being hyper-vigilant and that this is something very, very normal and benign. Please pray I'll express peace and poise--so I can stop snapping at the very son I love so much and am feeling so much anxiety about.
Thank you so much.
Update--it was a really quick, and painless ER visit. Nodes are large, and should be watched, but CBC was normal (no signs of relapse). Thank you so much for your prayers!

Oh Leslie, thank you for the update! What a relief...and I'll pray as you keep an eye on Kyler's nodes.
Love,

Leslie - we live in Virginia and also have a toddler who is being treated for leukemia. We are in the initial stages of treatment for him, but I can understand the fear that having something like that come up must bring up. Our son is in the hospital right now with low platelets, from his last round of chemo. We are hopeful that this phase will be over soon and we can get to his long-term maintenance treatment soon.
I'm glad your update says that everything is fine, but we will keep your family in our prayers anyway, for continued good health for your son!

I'm just seeing this, Leslie. I'm so glad it turned out to be normal.
Your prayer request spoke so strongly to me...I have a child I need to take in ...swollen nodes, nose bleeds, weight loss. I won't delay another day. The honesty of snapping at the one who we love.....thank you.

Me too!
Don't know how I missed it, but I'm so glad Kyler was ok. How you must have felt!
I'll keep Kyler in my prayers!

It moved me so much to find 5 new responses in my mail box last night. Kyler seems to be doing great, but you will just never know how much it helped me to feel your prayers and concerns yesterday.
