I had a dentist appointment today, and I should have asked for prayers.

But I didn't.

And I had a panic attack and had to reschedule, and they lectured me (I made it there, but had to tell them I couldn't stay.) And I felt stupid, and worthless and pathetic, and now I have to go back again on Thursday anyway and do it all over again.

my tummy hurts.



so...can I ask for prayers for Thursday, and maybe for today & tomorrow leading up to it, so I don't dwell and make it worse?

I go in tomorrow morning at 8:30 AM CT for the build-up phase of my crown. I hate the dentist and have been prone to panic attacks too. No fun!

I literally have had to use the past two weeks to sic myself into this. I tell myself that once I get past the shots (hoping for only one shot, please God!, but likely more) that it's a piece of cake.

Then I remind myself that a dental visit (for a cavity repair) is usually only 15-20 minutes. Of course, a crown build-up (have already had one) and a root canal (had one of those two) last about 45 minutes to an hour. Still I try to tell myself what is one hour out of 24 hrs?

I do lots of breathing control. And I keep in my mind when I can blissfully walk out that front door and head home...to my bed if need be. And I'm keeping tomorrow afternoon at the forefront of my mind, when the numbness will wear off and I'm hoping and praying there are no complications and the last phase is just the insertion of the crown without a shot. Please God!

Anyway, I'm sure you didn't need (or want) a break-up of that. But I'll be praying you through. Please pray for me.
