I was able to speak to my son on the phone while he was at his dad's. He was in tears for the entire call, telling me how much he loves me and misses me and wants to come home.
In confession on Saturday I shared some of my feelings with my priest and he said that praying isn't enough, because God doesn't talk back the same way that a person you are having a conversation with would. He told me I need to sit down and talk to someone about everything going on. That's great -- who do I talk to??
EVERY DAY last week I got documents in the mail regarding the case. I'M DROWNING AND I HAVE NO WHERE TO GO AND NO ONE TO TALK TO.
Please pray for us. If anyone has any advice, please PM me.

Oh, Paula- so hard! I am so sorry you are going through all this.
Can you go back to the priest you spoke to and ask him for a recommendation for a counselor? Maybe even a deacon at your church or someone else at church?
I say "counselor" meaning someone to pray with you, listen to you and offer wisdom in this hard situation. In the meantime, you have my prayers- for your family, especially your ds.

Paula,
I'm praying hard for you and your son!!!! I wish I could provide some advice, but since I can't, I'll just send many heartfelt prayers. My heart is breaking just reading what you've written; I can't imagine what living it is like.

Praying for you, how heart wrenching, Paula. Can you buy him off? Let him have the tax break, forget the child support, just GO AWAY, and let you have your son? My mother did this for my half-sister, it made it more difficult financially for her, but at least he was out of her life.
I'm sure you thought of this and it's probably not that simple; please be assured of lots of prayers.

Praying for you, Paula. I can't imagine your heartbreak. I hope our prayers can help to sustain you right now.
Does your husband's employer offer counseling as part of his insurance coverage for your family (some do)?

Oh, Paula! This is heart wrenching! I am so, so sorry for all the pain you and your family, especially your son, are going through. I am praying so hard that things settle down and you can be allowed to give your son (and your daughter - I'm sure this is painful for her as well) the peace and security they need.
Many hugs and prayers.
Peace,
Nancy

Praying for you and your family, Paula. I can understand how hard it is not to have someone with whom you can talk.

Oh Paula! This is so heart-wrenching! I'm holding you in prayer along with everyone else!
Begging our dear Lord to send someone your way to help you sort through these feelings in person as well as provide some sound practical advice.
Think I'll go to St. Jude, patron of Impossible Causes. It seems you've gone through every other route, and that it might qualify for St. Jude's intercession right now. Are you asking the intercession of any other saint, or Our Lady? I think I'll go to Our Lady of Perpetual Help as well...until I hear back from you. I'd love to concentrate our prayers.
Mother of Perpetual Help, you have been blessed and favored by God. You became not only the Mother of the Redeemer but the Mother of the redeemed as well. We come to you today as your loving children. Watch over Paula, her son and her family, and take care of them. As you held the child Jesus in your loving arms, so take them in your arms. Be a mother ready at every moment to help them. For God who is mighty has done great things for you, and His mercy is from age to age on those who love Him. Our greatest fear is that in time of temptation, we may fail to call out to you, and become lost children. Intercede for us, dear Mother, in obtaining pardon for our sins, love for Jesus, final perseverance, and the grace always to call upon you, Mother of Perpetual Help
