Please pray for my friend Sharon and her daughter, Rachel, who has suffered from debilitating advanced Lyme Disease for several years. Today, tomorrow, and Friday, Rachel will be undergoing a battery of tests to see exactly what's going on with her illness and if/how it can be cured or arrested. Rachel doesn't respond to regular treatment for Lyme Disease; she has to take experimental medications. This has led to several fights with insurance companies who don't want to pay for the only treatment that allows Rachel to function at all.
Please pray for a valid diagnosis and treatment plan, and for peace of mind for Sharon and her family.
Thanks.

Nancy,
We have been praying since I saw this post and will continue to do so for this dear girl and her family.

So far we don't have an update on the test results. I'll let you know.
Thanks for the prayers, everyone!

Praying, Nancy. One of my friends is in the very same boat, complete with insurance battles. To add insult to injury, her husband is currently looking for a job. If they don't find one fairly soon, she will lose her insurance altogether. Please keep her in your prayers, too. This Lyme Disease can be so insidious and debilitating.
PS Is your friend part of a Lyme support group? If not, it might be a help. I'd be glad to connect them to my friend, who is very involved with Lyme support groups, even though she's currently bedridden most of the time.

Kelly,
I think they are. I know Sharon (the mom) has gone on TV to plead for insurance help, and she knows all of her congresspeople personally now. She says she doesn't want to go through all of that again because it's just so exhausting.
I'll pray for your friend, too...I can just imagine what she's going through.

Praying for both families, for the doctors, and for successful treatments. How sad that they have to fight for insurance right when they need it most!
