Please pray for my ds and dd who will be confirmed along with 18 other confirmadi at 5:30 this evening. My ds is the oldest, tallest, and the lector for the mass (he is 15 yo and 6'1" tall). We are very excited. Thanks in advance for your prayers!

It was wonderful! Our church is in the process of being renovated, but the first phase of the inside is complete. My ds did a lovely job with the reading and our bishop (who is retiring) did a great job with the children. They confirm children from ages 11-14, so my ds was the oldest in the class. He was not very excited to be in a class with so many younger children, but he took it all in stride. He was also the first to be confirmed and my dd was the last (bookends at the confirmation)!

After the ceremony was over, the bishop called them up to give them medals that had been blessed by the Holy Father. My ds was the last to be called up and he received a round of applause from all of the students in the class! It was so nice to see that he had been an example to so many younger boys and girls. It gave me such a warm spot in my heart, but I know that it was the influence of my dh that has made such a difference in his life!
