My DH has been very depressed about work lately, esp. since he's worked for his present company for almost 9 years without receiving a promotion (even though he went from team member to team lead in that time, and his current manager jokes that she doesn't have to worry about his team b/c my DH is "managing" it). Essentially his company thinks he can keep doing a great job and take on tons of new responsibilities without ever getting promoted to the next salary band level.  He's been told that the problem is his personality--he's just too quiet to get noticed. Meanwhile his company just announced the latest round of promotions, and he was passed up again. 
Can you please say a prayer that he will figure out where to go from here, and that God will help us find a new job for him? He's pretty much given up on the company he works for now.

Oh Red, we've been there. My dh was in the exact same situation a few years ago, and it was very aggrevating. With much prayer and patience he was able to secure a good new job. I will be praying for him.

I will pray for your husband's work situation, Red.
My husband and I both have our own businesses (though we are a team and supportive for each other.) Neither of us have guaranteed salaries, we just pray on the work to come our way. They are successful business we have spent years building, but definitely ebb and flow with the seasons and it can get scary! We've had to pray a lot sometimes, but the Lord always provides and sends us the work we need to meet our needs. Sometimes He sees it fit to test our patience and faith, but He always comes through for us, and we have come to depend on Him for it - to live the life we want to, with our children, for Him.
What I am saying is, I know He will do the same for you, and your husband's job. And I'm going to pray with you for His intercession on your behalf.
