I was so sad to hear this earlier today. I've been praying for her since her stroke a couple weeks ago. I consider the LLL founders like my aunties - they have influenced my mothering in so many ways.
Praying for the repose of her soul and for her sons and their families.

I'm late with this.....Please pray for the soul of Le Leche League's oldest Founder, Edwina Froehlich. She passed away Sunday morning. www.lli.org/edwina.html

I had the opportunity to meet her twice. She was so kind, humble, sincere, and a really good listener. I have so many wonderful ways to describe her!

Thanks, Jenn. After you shared this sad news, I posted a PR and have now combined our two requests. I never had the chance to talk with Edwina, although I did meet her. My fondest memories are yours. I remember your delight in meeting her, how kind she was to your children, how encouraging she was with you, and how grateful she was for all moms who help each other to breastfeed their babies. I can only imagine how many mothers she has helped both directly and indirectly. What a generous lady.
