Guys and rings just don't jive, do they? They're constantly having to take it off for electrical and other mechanical work, I'm always finding dh's on the shift lever thingy in the truck instead of on his finger. My best friend bought her hubby a super nice ring (from Tiffany's, I'm afraid) and he promptly lost it in 65 feet of water on the reef. Ooops! Good thing he had 14 days of saturation to let her cool down! Praying to Saint Anthony, Donna!

My dh took his off once due to swelling in his hands, and promptly forgot where he put it. We searched and searched to no avail.
Fast forward three years and two moves later. We were completely broke and had to resort to cashing in the penny jar in desperation to buy a gallon of milk for the kids.
Guess what we found at the bottom.

My dh lost his wedding band on our HONEYMOON while snuba diving in Hawaii. He used up his entire air tank searching for it at the bottom of the ocean-but he found it!! He didn't tell me this story until a few months later...

I'll pray that your son-in-law's ring turns up soon.

My husband's slid off his finger while snorkeling in Hawaii at Hanauma Bay - thankfully, he saw it float to the bottom where he promptly dove for treasure .

I lost my ring for 6 months one time - and we found the ring in the strangest place.

Before we sold an old car, my dh was vacuuming out the car and took out the driver's seat to clean.

Yeah, it was under the driver's seat - he found it on my grandfather's birthday and I can't help to think that he had something to do with it supernaturally.

Ok, so those were not short stories and I took the scenic route all to tell you, "We understand and will pray!"
