Please pray for my 9 yo dd. I'm taking her to the doctor tomorrow to see if we can find the cause of her illness this past week or so: headache, burning rash on the arms, fatigue, "sick throat and mouth". She spends so much time in the woods that I am afraid it might be Lyme (which apparently presents without the bulls-eye rash much of the time). She's had a headache off and on for over a week, but these past few days her headache has been constant and unrelieved by sinus medication, etc.

Oh, poor thing! I'm praying for her, too.
FWIW, we've had a virus in our family with much the same symptoms, including the rash. It was just a stubborn adenovirus -- not fun, but not anything serious. I hope that's what K's will turn out to be.

Thank you all for your prayers!
Big relief -- Katydid tested "faintly positive" for strep. All her symptoms looked Lyme-ish, but the doctor said that a Lyme headache is very photosensitive, and K has been fine with light. If her headache is not better by Friday, however, we are to bring her back to test for mono.
Shew! I never thought I'd be so relieved to hear the words "strep" and "mono"!
