My wonderful, hardworking husband is defending his dissertation at 2:00 this afternoon. If you could offer a prayer that would be wonderful. There is very little chance of actually failing but he's still really nervous and he has some famously adversarial and hostile folks to contend with for two hours.

Update: He passed! As I said, we weren't worried but it is still such a huge relief. The whole thing ended up them just telling him how wonderful his dissertation was and how he should really publish it. Thanks for all your prayers. Now if he could only get hired somewhere . . .
