I wanted to post here asking for prayers for my family and the (I am certain) many other families who are stressed out and frazzled emotionally trying to figure out how to make life "work" with gas and food alone at record highs.
I am not despairing, just exhausted trying to figure out what more we can cut from our lives. really the entertainment category only includes 14.99 internet each month, and maybe that has to go! 
I also wanted to post this to reassure others that I am praying for them as well....

Lisa- I am there!! I will add you to my prayers. It is a stress trying to eat, put gas in the car, pay bills etc. I too feel like we have nothing left to cut. Having a sales job is no easy task these days that is for sure.

Praying here, Lisa! I think there are many families here (including mine) who are really feeling the pinch. Nowadays even a birthday party invitation makes me cringe - an unplanned expense - and I know we're not as stretched as many families here, as we have fewer children. I keep hearing about student loans for college being cut back and wonder what we will do...just 2 years from now...
Perhaps someone could propose a novena?

I'm praying for this, too, and will add the intentions for all the families on this board to our prayers.
When I think of how we've struggled in the last year, the constant talk of recession has me very nervous and worried.
