Our area was hit hard by a very strong storm last night. I don't think I would have awakened in time had the phone not rung even though there was no one on the line. I think my son turned off the weather alarm by accident. One of our front yard trees was snapped in half but thankfully it landed in between our house and our neighbor's. Our fence was also blown over; the metal posts were bent at the base.

This was a straight line storm and I am so thankful that there was no rotation. That tree was not very far from our window!

My God, we thank you for protecting us through the night. We praise you and give you thanks for all the blessings you have bestowed on us. In union with Jesus, we consecrate to you all our thoughts, words, actions, joys, and sufferings of this day. Mary our mother, bless us this day and protect us from dangers. Guardian Angels and all our patrons, pray for us. Amen

Please also pray for those who sustained damage!

I am so glad you all are safe! The storm was quite severe here, as well. We did not sustain any damage but many neighbors lost trees and power lines were down in parts of our neighborhood!

The kids and I walked around the neighborhood to see the extent of the damage. Lots of houses with roof damage, trees down everywhere some in the middle of the roads. Some drooping power lines. Everything indicates straightline winds but they apparently were gusting up to 80 mph. It is a complete miracle that there were no trees thrown any windows!!! God is good! We are a little rattled, but completely safe.
