My 13 yo dd and a friend are making their first unaccompanied trip tomorrow. They are flying out to visit another good friend and her family for a long weekend. Would you please pray for their safety (both in flying and in their time away) and for peace for me?

This sounded like such a great idea months ago. Now I'm feeling nervous about it all. I know that their time with our friends will be wonderful. They are old friends and a terrific Catholic family. I guess it is the details of the flights and meeting up with them on the other end that makes me most nervous. And, OK, I'll admit it. There's a bit of the post-9/11 fear of the flight itself too.
