I was so sure I had conceived this month. But I didn't. I was heartbroken yesterday...really depressed. I feel like I'm going crazy with this desire/hope for another child. I really need to not go over the edge with this. I'm not kidding, it feels like insanity. I do have my dear children that I need to be fully present for...I know many of you know how I feel, that itself is a comfort.

I am a mother of 7 (ages 31 - 13) and for the last 12 years I have longed for another child. I have pleaded with the Lord, offered him my all, thrown myself at the Mercy of Our Lady...and still no pregnancy. Now, at age 49 I have ceased to menstruate and I know that my dream will not come to pass. But through this I have learned many lessons from the Father about myself, about my will versus His perfect will.
If I allow myself to focus on the facts that I can no longer bear children I would crumble and weep with unasuaged grief for *my* loss...the focus being me and not being given the desire of *my* heart. And if I give in to that I will lose sight of what I have now, before me, the gifts the Lord has already given, the eternal souls I have been blessed to mother.
Surrendering my own desires brought a new understanding of what the Lord deemed most important in my life *now*. I shared my thoughts here at the time - Hold Them In Your Heart

Maria, I shall pray a Rosary for you today, that you may be comforted by Our Lady and able to rest in whatever the Lord has for you.
