I am not really sure where to put this, but I suspose that I am asking for prayers. I hope this is not too personal or has too much detail, but I really have no where else to turn.
I have had problems with fibroids for several years. I have choosen to seek a more natural route and wait for menopause rather than have surgery (which is what the doctors recommended).
Early Holy Thursday morning, I lost consciousness and was rushed to the hospital with low blood pressure due to loss of blood. The paramedics and the doctors were great. They let me go home on Good Friday with the promise of another test (hysteroscopy) and blood sugar (6.5 a bit high) and some medication (tranexamic acid) to control the bleeding.
Today I feel great (except for a little cold)! The doctors' plan is to check for polyps which could involve a surgical procedure and then to use a mirena coil.
Despite the positive outcome, I must admit that I am a bit frightened. The whole experience of being in an ambulance and the emergency room was a bit disconcerting (moms are not susposed to get sick). And the possiblity of a surgery is also not something I really want either.
So I am asking for prayers (of course, always God's will) to help me cope with this. I would really love to avoid surgery, but also to make good choices regarding my health. I really don't want to age my dh anymore than I already have!
Thanks ladies, for any prayers, advice, or words of wisdom. I guess I just have to have a good sense of humor about the whole thing (at least that is what my dear friend tells me)!

Oh, Carole, I'm so sorry you had such a frightening experience! I will pray for you; I know that major surgery is a very difficult thing to cope with - and so are medical emergencies. I think this particular type of surgery is especially difficult to think about, because it's so personal, so tied to the essential you.
You're in my prayers...I hope your health continues to improve.

Praying, Carole. As you say, there are all sorts of considerations to balance. Major surgery isn't a picnic, to be sure; but, then again, if going through that puts you in a place where you don't have these scary (and dangerous) medical emergencies, maybe it's the better choice. I will pray for your health and for the Holy Spirit's guidance as you are deciding what is the best thing to do.
Peace,
Nancy

Dear Carole,
Mums do get sick but it is always a confort to know that we are in His hands and that even if we don't "get" it, it is all part of His perfect plan. I pray that you will be able to accept this and be guided in your choices and that you will heal and recover in the way God knows best.
I was a sick Mum for 2 years... At the beginning I felt as if I were letting everyone down. It was a downward spiral. Through His grace, I was able to accept it joyfully as something I had to go through but always being strengthened by Him. Now I have peace looking back. It strengthened my faith manyfold, and I believe that my dds learnt to trust and rely on Him through that. May you and your family be blessed through what is happening to you.
