Please pray for the wife of my youngest brother. They are expecting their first baby (a girl!) in early May. She woke up last night hemorrhaging and is now in the hospital. It looks like they stabilized her enough to stop labor. She will be on bedrest when she goes home in a few days, if all is well.
Will you please pray that my newest little niece stays put until she is really ready to be born? And I'm sure my brother and his wife could use prayers for peace. It must be so scary, particularly with a first pregnancy.
Thank you!

Well, my s-i-l was released from the hospital yesterday since they felt that they had successfully stopped possible early labor. Then, after just 5 hours at home, she began bleeding again. They returned to the hospital, and her water broke and labor followed. My newest niece was born early this morning (Easter!). I just saw some photos online, and she is a tiny beauty.
She is 6 and a half weeks early, but a good size (4.5 lbs). She is in the NICU and is being given a bit of oxygen. Earlier this evening, my brother said that the baby would be having a transfusion - probably already occured. He said something about low blood levels and how newborns cannot replace lost blood. Maybe the placenta was damaged in the bleeding episode earlier this week and the baby lost some blood?
Please pray for this precious baby to be healthy and be able to go home asap, and for grace for my brother and s-i-l as they wait to bring her home. I was excited that my s-i-l really wanted to breastfeed, but am concerned that having a preemie in the NICU will derail those plans, so prayers for successful nursing in spite of the premature birth would be appreciated.
Thank you and Blessed Easter to you all!

I'm glad she is healthy and will pray for breastfeeding to proceed well. I know it's an additional challenge, but can be done. She needs local support as early as possible - it will make a big difference in getting through the challenges.
