Please, can I ask for prayers for Chemai? She is greatly struggling with the physical effects of her body having to endure SO MUCH last year.
Unfortunately she was given far, far, far too many steroid shots (a slip-up in the system) and needed to be on a cocktail of other drugs, a muscle relaxant to continually stop and stall contractions and round ligament pains and continual progesterone shots for nearly all of the pregnancy. All this for a LONG period of time in order to hold Augustine in utero, it was such an incredible ordeal, one that so many of you 4Real girls here, prayed her through. There was also the continual reminder of her premmie Jonathan who died, as she was back at the same place she had previously spent 5 months at, so a lot of associated pain and loss, both times enduring extended periods away from her children.
It would seem that all this has greatly imbalanced her system at a time when the post-partum period can be severe and punishing on any imbalances in our bodies. Her suffering is severe but she is holding and bearing the best she can in a way I know that this faithful girl can. But it is taxing her greatly and she has seven beautiful children to look after. It is not something she has really experienced before so it has been bewildering.
As some of you may know I had a short bout of anxiety after Annuncia's birth and it quickly made me realise that I'd rather suffer the bad, nasty affects of the virus than be asked to carry this cross.
Tomorrow (Tuesday) they head off hundreds of kilometres to their new destination as Scott has a job, long waiting (with Family Life International) and will soon be starting his degree with Campion College mid-year, their life will be full with Scott's commitments to work and study. This will be an enormous adjustment for Chemai as Scott had been working from home for some time. She has had the support of Scott's parents who live close by, but that now will also change. Such an enormous period of upheaval, even for a mum who is healthy and well! They will be having a stop over half way at a friend’s holiday home near the sea and I understand that they could be there up to a month, then it will be on to the 'big smoke'.
Could you please remember Chemai in prayer in these weeks to come? A friend I hold in enormous admiration, she is such a humble, saintly soul, who never, never complains, only sees the Hand of God in everything but she is really needing to be 'upheld in prayer' through this particularly heavy cross.

UPDATE: Chemai is still having a very hard time, as the progesterone tablets are not covering the situation completely, next week Scott needs to start work and if they cannot find a home in the city then he will have to travel away a few days a week to work, something Chemai dreads. Prayers that they find a suitable home immediately are much needed and also for Chemai's big improvement in health.

What a beautiful example of faith, strength, and courage she has been to us all!

I was just thinking of Chemai...
It is a privilege to pray for this sweet and strong lady. The pain and suffering that she is being asked to accept is immense indeed. I didn't realize that she was moving now too  . I'm praying.
