Please pray, they weren't able to keep him revived consistently (not sure how it works, they "shocked" him repeatedly) so we don't know what will happen -- my husband has had such a hard few months (and years,) it kept seeming like one (relatively little) thing after another and now this. We don't live nearby at all.
Update: Thanks for prayers and he is alive but not conscious and still in need of prayers. I'm not sure they're sure it was a heart attack although it stopped his heart.
Update If anyone sees this, my FIL has apparently not been breathing on his own and hasn't been conscious. They are doing tests. Prayers for him would still be appreciated, and also for the travel we will likely undertake shortly -- for good weather, and for minimal problems with the health issues we've been having. It will probably be a whole lot of time in the hotel room for the kids and me. Our 6yo still has the sniffles after our flulike illness but I'm still coughing pretty hard, wondering if I will end up with a bacterial sinus infection, and having stomach problems that interfere w/fully normal eating which I was going to ask the doctor about at what would've been my 16-week prenatal on Monday after flu interfered with the plans for an earlier appointment, so we're hesitant to leave us here with me solely responsible for the kids for several days.

Thanks again for your prayers, they are comforting and appreciated.
Mostly improved news: Tests did show brainwave activity, and today was the first time someone saw him open his eyes. They had been keeping him unconscious intentionally even though he hadn't become conscious on his own and are bringing him out of sedation which sounds like a process that can take a while. Sounds like we might be able to stay here to recover a little longer and for my Monday prenatal when I was going to consult doctor about stomach problems (which are causing trouble eating enough food, to say nothing of a balanced diet) and possible sinus infection.

There's an apparent infection and irregular heartbeat today :( We may be leaving over the next day or two, we keep waiting for the right moment (to drive from the DC area to Atlanta), but I am thankful our own health concerns are eased, everyone else is physically fine, my sinusitis seems improved and we made it to the 16-week prenatal where the baby's heartbeat was fine and I just seem to have a hernia that can wait for repair post-baby and will just have to be dealt with by carefully controlling portion size and possibly avoiding certain irritating foods.
