Hi all! My oldest daughter has a red rash all over her stomach and back. I have a call in to the doctor and she is fine otherwise, but I would really like for this to just go away. Weird medical problems and illness are triggers for my anxiety disorder and I can already feel the tightness creeping up into my throat and that knot in the pit of my stomach. Your prayers would be most appreciated!

Thank you for your prayers! I know they helped. I was actually laughing at the doctor's office!!!!

She has either a viral rash from the cold that she is getting over or strep rash. The rapid strep test came back negative, but they are going to wait and see what the cultured one says on Monday. In the meantime, we are watching her for other symptoms which would indicate strep so that we can start her on the antibiotics otherwise we chalk it up to a virus.

So why was I laughing? Because I asked the doc, "Is this what would have been called Scarlet Fever?" and he said yes!!! He was so laid back about it and I had visions of Wives and Daughters running though my head. Say what you will about modern medicine, but there are some things I am very grateful for!
