I have a few prayer requests:
1. A local piano teacher, Dr. Eric Jensen, just sent out letters to his students that he won't be able to teach for a few months because he has throat cancer. He has been dealing with throat problems for nearly a year and they finally diagnosed it. He has to undergo two months of radiation. Please add him to your prayers for his health as well as finances, two months without teaching AND medical bills related to cancer treatment have to be draining. 
2. Johnathan is doing well in Iraq. He is due back in just a few weeks. I am more nervous now because most of the NM soldiers who have been killed were in the final week or two of their tours.  
3. He is a mere 22 points away from being promoted to Sgt. He is working on a few things to get those points but some divine intervention couldn't hurt.   He scored a perfect 40/40 on the shooting range and a 290 out of 300 on his fitness test which bumped his points up to 649 and he needs 671.
4. He is going to the board for NCO of the month(or quarter?) tomorrow. Did I tell everyone he was promoted to Corporal last month? If he wins it will add more points toward the promotion board points as well. He is also up for two more big awards but they probably won't be awarded in time for this round of promotions.
EDITED to add: 5. Johnathan was scheduled to transfer to Ft. Sill, OK but he and a few others have changed their minds and have asked to stay at Ft. Riley. It will mean they are not deployable until Sept 09. If they transfer, they are immediately deployable. Please pray that those who wish to stay at Ft. Riley will be able to stay.
6. My dh is having some difficulties at work. He is a manager and just cannot find people willing to do the job they are being hired for. We have had several people just quit, some have been stealing, some have done other criminal things, it is just crazy. Please pray that the Lord will send some good, competent, honest, hard-workers that are hire-able (they must pass extensive background and driving record checks). Cris is ready to quit himself because it is just so draining.
Obviously the first two are most important but I figured it couldn't hurt to add the others in there.
Thanks for all your prayers and concern. We truly appreciate it.

As an Army wife I completely understand the need to stay stateside for a while after returning from theater! Prayers it all works out and prayers for all your intentions too Krisann!
