Please pray for the soul of John, a classmate of Matthew's. He took his own life last night. This school only has 75 students in 7-12 grade. This young man was a senior is a class of 19, they have all been together since 7th grade.
Please pray for his family, his classmates and the whole school. This is the first time any death has occured within the student body.
We are leaving for a mass at the school right now.

A tragedy indeed. We just attended a talk for parents last week on teen suicide. It is so heartbreaking for the family and school, especially one so small and close-knit. Everyone is in our prayers.

Oh, it's too horrible. I remember this happening in high school to a guy I knew. It was so shocking - we all were numb for days afterwards.
My prayers are ascending for family and friends.

How horrible! I am so sorry! I remember too well the first funeral I ever attended -- for an acquaintance of my brother's who shot himself when we were in high school. It made such a huge impact on us. These poor children who feel that life is that hopeless! May God have mercy on them. Praying for this boy, for his family, and for all of the students and others who are grieving.

This is horrible. How very sad for everyone involved. We had a boy in our church community commit suicide a couple of years ago. It was a tragedy that rocked our entire area. Every time I go past his house I am still overcome with sorrow. I will keep your school and everyone involved in my prayers.
