My dh got an email from a friend of his in Afganastan looking for help for a friend of his. This young officer is due to return home in two weeks, and his wife just told him that she is leaving him. They have four young children. Dh's friend asked if I would call the wife and talk to her. I'm not sure how she would feel about a complete stranger calling her, I know I would feel a bit weird.

I can help by coming here and asking for prayers for all of them. She has been living with his parents for the deployment, I know I might be ready to leave my dh if I had to do that. Please pray that she will wait for him to come home, move back to their home and try to work things out.

Praying...and I don't know how I'd feel about calling the wife if I'd never met her IRL. I think that would be intrusive from her point of view.

This happens on deployments...esp., somehow, when the wife moves home. I hope the wife will, indeed, at least try to get counseling when her husband returns.

They're in my prayers.

Deployment can be so hard on couples. I think prayers from afar and asking the Holy Spirit to intercede would be a good start.
