The baby was up late last night, so I was, too. When he woke up at 515 for his feed, I decided to take it as a sign and go to the 630 Ash Wednesday Mass. I know it was worth it, but as a result, I am operating on about 4 hours of sleep, plus I have a cold, plus today is a fasting day. I'm exhausted already and it's not even 8AM.
Just pray I can keep a good attitude today and not take my exhaustion out on my family or use it as an excuse to neglect my duties.
Thank you all.

Praying for sustained strength throughout the rest of the day. Are there exceptions for elderly, pregnant and nursing mothers in regards to it being a fasting day?

You don't need to fast. You need to nourish yourself so you can nourish that baby and be functional for your family. You already have enough mortifications for the day.
Praying for you!

Unfortunately, I stopped nursing several weeks ago for numerous reasons, so the fast absolutely applies to me. Formula is the same nutritionally whether Mom eats or not.
However, this should be very encouraging to Jen!

I'm praying for you and hoping your day is going OK. May you soon get the rest you need, or at least a little break
God bless,
Christine

Both boys napped simultaneously, praise the Lord! I got a nap, too. God really helped me through your prayers today, I can't thank you enough.
