There's a lengthy story to this but, in brief, PawPaw will be having a feeding tube inserted tomorrow (Thurs.) morning.

My dh will be going there early. I'm staying home because I have one sick with the flu.

Prayers would be so appreciated for PawPaw's surgery, my husband, his brothers and all our families.

As of 10:30 AM CT, they still hadn't gotten to PawPaw. He was scheduled last on the list because he is an "adult". But dh called awhile ago and said his dad was getting restless and Mark was having to keep him from taking out his IV and the tubes. With Alzheimer's it's as hard as dealing with a young child.

And the skies are pouring buckets of water and wind this morning and I have my dh an hour away, and both my oldest ds and dd in another city, one in class at the technical college and one working at the hospital.

It's a day I'd rather have all my little chicks here at home. But real life is seldom so sweet and cozy.
