Last year, I posted a St. Anthony request on Christmas Eve because I couldn't find all the baby Jesus figures for the nativity sets. Just wanted to let you know I found them today !

Don't worry, even Mary lost Jesus temporarily ...when you found Him did he reply "Did you not know I would be about my Father's business?"

He was under all the junk on my computer desk. For a YEAR. I can only pray that some of what I do here is His Father's business.

Since Baby Jesus does not arrive at our manger until Christmas Eve, he is tucked away for all of Advent.
After too many Christmas Eve frantic search parties, the gils started taking turns hiding him away.
Glad he was found.
I hope I can find something as wonderful under the junk on my desk today.

You know, one day at Atrium I found Jesus in the bathroom! Really, Elizabeth, I'm glad you found Jesus, because there's no way a manger scene is complete without Him.
Peace,
Nancy

Well then you can pray for us......we have not found Jesus! Our outdoor nativity scene is Jesus-less!
I kept thinking during advent we would find him, now it is the feast of Stephen, no Jesus! The dc are embarrassed, they think we look weird, with a Jesus- less manger. I think it looks typical of our lives!

Annie dropped our baby Jesus last year and his head was shattered. So we have a headless baby Jesus. This was my "really good" nativity...the one I inherited when my m-i-l died.
Jesus was beyond repair and I have not been able to replace Him. I thought it morbid to set the headless body in the crib so we didn't set up at all. We just had a cheap small one set next to the Advent wreath this year.
I really should check post-Christmas sales but it'll be touch to find the right size.
I'm really bombed...

I laughed when I saw the subject line, Elizabeth. It conjured up a whole other scenario.
I let myself get sick over misplacing things. Inevitably they, too, are at the bottom of a pile on my desk... <sigh>
We haven't lost a nativity piece before, but we did have Brian's Pepere's crucifix chip. I was sick over it for a long time. It's so disappointing.
I'm so glad you found Him!

This reminded me of one of my favorite Christmas books: "If You're Missing Baby Jesus" by Jean Gietzen. It is a true story about what happened when Jean's mother bought a nativity set from the five-and-dime that came with TWO baby Jesuses. The kids were thrilled to have twins, but their mother wouldn't let them keep them both. She was sure someone's nativity set must be missing baby Jesus.... I just love this book.
Glad you found your baby Jesus!
