******UPDATE****** He's back. Safe and sound! Flew in this weekend. Just wanted to say thanks for all the prayers. We are very grateful********
My son left for Kuwait the 29th of November and has been training upto now. Today is his 19th birthday and tomorrow he will be flying into his duty station in Iraq and will be stationed there for the next 14 months. Please pray for his safety and the safety of all soldiers.

Praying for his safety and your peace of mind. My 16 yr old is determined to join the Marines right out of high school. It is hard as a mother to be happy about it. Of course, I would be proud to have him serve our country. I just know I would worry.

I will keep him in my prayers. My son just finished a 15 month tour in Iraq, he flies home this Thursday. I know its tough on us moms, so you too will be in my prayers.

I had this great post all typed up and IE stopped working. 
We will pray for his safety and your peace.
Our oldest son is in Iraq too, Baghdad to be precise. He has been deployed since February and is scheduled to return home in mid-April.
I know there is at least one other mom (I think it is actually 2 or 3 but my memory is terrible!) with a son over there. I think there are several moms with husbands over there too. Maybe we should start our own section on the boards? 
If you need to "talk" feel free to PM me. I will try to respond as quickly as I can but lately it hasn't been all that quick.   I've had quite a few irons in the fire.

I really do appreciate all the prayers. It never occurred to me to ask for prayers for myself but as I read through the responses and saw that you all were including me as well as my son and soldiers the emotion I felt let me know I really needed them too! You guys are awesome.

Praying for you son and all those in danger's zone.
My good friend Carrie is headed to TX this week to visit her son who is flying in from Baghdad. He has been in the danger zone for over a year and they are very relieved he is returning home. He has to stay on base for so many days but will get to come home to LA for Christmas.
I will mention your son to her. Her heart will certainly keep your heart in her daily prayers.
