Please pray for 3 year old Harriet and her parents Majella and Michael. This little girl is a friend of a friend of ours, and they have asked for as many prayers as possible so that they might endure what ever may come.
She has been very unwell for quite some time, and the chemo has not worked. 
The family have asked for prayer through the intercession of Bl. Mary MacKillop (Australia's first saint!)

I received this update on little Harriet's condition today.
Please hold her and her family close in prayer.
We are writing to ask you to raise Harriet and her parents, Majella and Michael, her 5 year old brother Rory and 1 year old sister Josephine and their extended family, in prayer as we approach Christmas. It doesn't look as if Harriet will live for much longer. The tumour is putting pressure on the brain and she is having fits. She is on medication to minimise these, which makes her sleepy. There is nothing more the doctors can do. The family took Harriet to see Dr Charlie Teo (the well-known brain surgeon) two weeks ago and he said he had not seen a tumour that size in a child before. She is at home with her family.
The family is preparing themselves for the unimaginable. It can only be more difficult at this time of year. I know we feel helpless - prayer is all we can offer them. WE have specifically been praying for the grace of courage for her parents.
Thank you all for your support and love that has extended to Harriet and her family.

Oh Tricia, this is so sad!!! Praying with great sorrow for this family, and what must be an unspeakably sad time for them all. Asking the Blessed Virgin to hold them close as they stand with her at the Foot of the Cross! Our Lady of Sorrows, pray for them!

I received this email about Harriet.
Thank you all so much for your continued prayers. I am writing to let you know that Harriet died peacefully at home last Wednesday night at 11p.m. Her parents were with her and holding her. Her funeral is tomorrow.(Monday)
The family has taken great comfort in knowing there were so many people they didn't even know praying for Harriet and for them. They so desperately wanted a miracle - and I believe that miracle is the gift Harriet has been to so many people. As Alysha said to me, "Mum, the miracle is I didn't even know Harriet, and yet she's impacted my life." The wisdom of 20 year olds.
Majella, Harriet's Mum, has stated that she needs the grace of courage - I believe the whole family needs that grace, especially tomorrow. Please hold them up in prayer to our loving God who now embraces Harriet in perfect love.
