Erin has asked me to post this request.

Could you please keep her eldest dd in your prayers she has been bitten by a bat and there is some risk of lyssavirus. Prayer for Erin and her dh also as they decide the best coarse of action.

I hoping Erin would post an update herself but she has a lot on her mind at present. C is fine at the moment the dilemma has been that in Australia all bats potentially carry Lyssavirus there is a small risk of humans contracting this via a bite or scratch and it is always fatal. Generally when someone is bitten they would test the bat for the virus and if positive begin a series of 5 rabies shots on the person bitten. These shots are not without side effects themselves. Now the problem is that the bat was released before it was realised that C was bitten and that the bite had broken the skin. Incubation can be anything from 2 weeks to 6mths so she's not completely out of the woods yet! please continue to pray for her.
