My husband was in an accident this morning on his way to work. He was on the turnpike heading to Cleveland when he was sideswiped by a semi. The truck disappeared in to nowhere, leaving my dh stranded and stunned on the side of the road. He says the car is drive-able and he is going on to work for the day.
I am a nervous wreck though. He has been traveling so much lately and the stress level of his job has been keeping him out of sorts so much. This is just another example of it. He will be gone all week next week. Please pray for his safety and that I handle his being gone gracefully, with a heart thankful for his job that provides for us.
(I recall reading on someone's blog recently (Molly's maybe ?) about a wife struggling with her husband being out of town. I can SO relate!)

Thank God he wasn't injured, although watch out for neck and back stuff...they can how up hours later.

(((LISA!))) What a fright! Thanks be to God that he is alright. Did anyone stop to assist him? Were they able to do anything about the truck that hit him?
I will surely be praying for you. I used to worry (and still do) when Brian was on the road every day.

Lisa, I'll pray for you!
My husband commutes to work an hour each way every day and then spends much of the day in the car driving. Every now and again he comes home with a story of a close call and I get so scared and let my imagination run on what could happen to him "out there."
So, I know how you feel. Pray to your husband's guardian angel. My dh's angel I call Vincent and he and I are in communication alot!

praying for you lisa... I worry about that sort of stuff all the time as my dh rides his bike to work each day along busy roads too. Let's pray to their guardian angels to keep them safe. It's so hard to let everyone go from our safe home where we can know they are ok isn't it?

Thanks everyone. He's okay Praise God. The car is not (it is drive-able, for now at least) Unfortunetly we only carry liability on the car (it is quite old with 180,000 miles on it!) So we get to foot the bill for repairs since the truck driver didn't bother to stop. (even to see if dh was okay!!) What a month it has been! I do pray his gaurdian angle keeps him safe each day.
