I received this prayer request from a prayer chain I am on. This comes from a daughter of a friend of mine. It just broke my heart and I can't imagine how this young boy feels. 
please pray for a high school friend of mine who died in a car accident. And please pray for his older brother who really really needs prayers right now! The boy got drunk at a party last weekend and called his brother to get a ride. Evidently his brother told him that he got himself into the mess and should get himself out, so he drove home. He hit a tree and lay in the wreckage for a long time while the dispatchers tried to decide which rescue vehicles because it was not clear where the car was exactly. People who found him were very angry about the delay because he died. We are asking everyone to pray for him and his family especially his older brother.

This is similar to a tragedy in my family. My aunt was killed at age 18 when I was 2yo and her dd was 1yr........the family is still smarting over it, 41 yrs later. So sad....I will offer up all of our family pain. And, guilt.

Here is an update...Also, please continue to pray as this family has been facing judgment as well by others about how they (meaning the brother) responded to the other brothers' plea. So please pray not just for this family during this time of grief, but so that others will have not judgmental hearts when they look upon this family. (Apparently... as I mentioned, this came to me from another prayer chain...the one who sends out the emails for prayers, said she has been getting some negative/judgmental comments from others about this family)
This update comes from (you know how these chains go) the grandmother of the girl who was friends with this family...
the young man is in counseling and so are other members of the family. they are all torn to pieces, as much for the brother who lived as the one who died. someone thinks that the younger brother had called the older one many many times with the same story, i'm drunk, come get me. and it's believed the older brother thought that he should get a cab and pay for it; that was his intentions
