Please pray that I deal with some issues that have cropped up with grace. Our gas was turned off today due to a gas leak that was detected on our property. We have to pay to have it fixed which will cost around $1000. (that we don't have of course!) The gas cannot be turned back on until it is fixed, which is looking like it could be a week or more. I can't use my stove or oven, we don't have hot water or our dryer. I just bought our groceries for the week yesterday, and I have a washing machine full of wet diapers, oh, yeah, and it's raining out...
ARG!! I know we will figure it all out, I can use the crockpot and electric roaster etc... I just pray I can do it with grace. Thanks!

Thanks all for the prayers! We were without gas for 5 days, and after many issues with the gas company and an expensive visit from the plumber, we are back in service. AYE! What an ordeal. We can be a creative bunch when we have to! Thanks SO much for your prayers, I did manage to keep a pretty even keel, as did my husband. Now we have sick children! Ah well, such is life...

praying for your sick children, I hope all are better soon. I thought of you these past 5 days as we were dealing with a very costly and time consuming re roofing job that had to be done asap on our home.
did you line dry those diapers?
