I just got a call from Marilyn. She's had a severe allergic reaction, which is affecting her vision. She's not able to open her eyes much. She's feeling miserable. She's asking for prayers that the doctors will figure out what's going on, and that she won't be on any medication that will affect the ability to nurse. She also started bleeding heavily again.
Please also pray for the baby, that he doesn't get this virus.
I'll post an update after her appointment.

Ruth, I can check any medications if she has questions about lactation and the med. They may automatically say she can't nurse when that isn't necessarily the case. Let her know.

Oh no! Does she need any local favors? We live very close. I have a cold that her family doesn't need, don't drive and don't want to disturb her in the middle of something like this with unsolicited calls but please let me know if there are any little errands I could ask my husband to run that would help out. In the meantime, I will pray!

Dear all
Thanks for prayers. Not sure exactly what is going on - my eyes just got progressively worse. The doctors have given me a couple of eye drops (Mary I will pm you the names) and told me it is ok to nurse. I am still in a fair amount of pain - and just anxious. I do feel a bit greedy asking for all these prayers these last couple of weeks - but these prayers have kept me going and sane. It just seems like a lot of things at once - as Hamlet says "not single spies but battalions"
This afternoon saw a lot of prayers answered - my sister in law was able to have my older kids, and my neighbor was able to drive me. I do not like to ask for help usually - but once I did people were so happy to help.
Please keep praying (though I know that there are so many much bigger needs on this forum) - I know that this is still technically postpartum - but I so want to feel well again.

Just seeing this, and PRAYING!
(Keep asking for help. I also have a lot of trouble with this but it is worth it. I try to remember how I like to help others and that I am giving them an opportunity to help someone (me! :-))
