Please pray for my dd who will have another round of food allergy testing tomorrow. She will be doing the "dairy challenge"... she will be given powdered milk in applesauce and observed for any reactions. She may have an immediate reaction, or. most likely, a delayed reaction that will show up in the afternoon.

I am so nervous about this, especially since she has developed asthma. She was lasted tested (and failed) at 18 months... but that was just the skin test and not actually a food challenge. She has multiple food allergies, and soy appears to be the worst, so we are starting with the dairy products.

I so hope she passes- to spare her the unpleasantness and danger of a reaction. Also, if we could again have cheese in the house and on the menu.. that would be like opening up a whole new world. But above all I just want her to be safe. Thanks.

UPDATE: Both kids woke up this morning with upset stomachs... no throwing up, but a lot of trips to the bathroom. So the testing is cancelled for today. This is the second time that we've had to cancel... maybe God is trying to tell me to let it go for awhile? We're rescheduled for Sept. 7. Both kids are in good spirits today, but we are staying home.

I've been told how hard these tests can be on children. I will keep your dd in my prayers.
