Hi all, it's me again.
Turns out it's not over. He was at our general dr. today for a checkup and the teeny-tiny wound from the surgery (the 2nd one from last month, the first one was from oct.) -- still hasn't healed completely. Which means he's going to need another surgery.
I'm worried that this might depress him. He's already (usually) stressed out from work, they just started a new project this past month, he's traveling again, has another trip scheduled for end of this month, has been on disability twice, etc. He's not the type of guy who enjoys relaxing except if it's at the beach.... when at home he'll find SOMETHING to do.
I'm also starting to get a bit worried about his job. Much as I would love to see him doing something, uhm, less stressful.... he loves this job, he loves his boss, he loves his co-workers. This is the only company (out of the 8 or so that he's worked for) where he's really happy with what he's doing and where he's going. But I don't know how they'll take it if he has to take another leave. Please pray for understanding and support from his company, his boss and his co-workers.
I'm also looking for ideas. This was a hernia surgery that got infected, then got better, but did not heal properly, then got fixed, and we thought it was better and healed completely, but it's not. His immune system hasn't been great esp. the past few years. I'm running out of ideas on what to do for him, or who to turn to for advice, etc.
I say I'm worried but I can and do find peace -- reading about saints and the suffering they've had to go through really helps (thanks for all of you who suggested books and articles before!)... I'd like hubby to get a bit of rest from it though. He's been through so much.
Thank you for your prayers.
-------------UPDATE---------------
He saw the dr. today -- not the surgeons; I was wrong, his 3 appts. are not until tomorrow -- and I think we have a miracle here -- the wound is almost completely closed up. There is just the tiniest bit of discharge left which our dr. thinks will stop soon. He's been told to cancel all the appointments tomorrow. YAY!!!!
DH does have bursitis now, which developed Thursday, so he's in a bit of pain and discomfort, BUT it's *peanuts* compared to the possibility of facing yet one more surgery!!!
We are jumping up and down and rejoicing and wanted to share the great news with you all!!! Praise to our Mighty God! And thank you Mama Mary!!!
THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR PRAYERS!

I am so sorry, Stef! I wish that I had a suggestion or words of wisdom. Your dh continues in my prayers, and I will add his employers to my prayers too!

Thank you, everyone. I've got great news -- he's got appointments already with two doctors on Monday! They're supposedly two of "the best" in the area. I can't believe he got in so quickly. Still trying to find a spot on dh's schedule to have this surgery performed.
I'll update after Monday. Thank you so much for your prayers.

I'm sorry Stef...I don't know of any advice that you wouldn't already know about for better immunity or tissue healing (except have you tried Goldenseal topically?) but I am praying; and did you see the 54-day novena for dhs? I'm starting it today and I'll add your dh.
