Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I had some bleeding this afternoon. I went to the midwife's office and had blood taken for a hormone level test. I won't find out the results until tomorrow. I'm feeling worried because I'm not feeling nausea today. Would you please pray for my family and our baby? Thanks.

Praying! If it is any consolation, with several of my pregnancies it was right about 10 weeks when I would have a day here and there w/o nausea. It made me nervous too, but everything turned out OK!

Praying that you get nothing but great news!

Cheryl, I think anxiety can trump nausea. That is, every single time I've been worried about miscarriage because of bleeding, I haven't felt nauseous. The bleeding comes first and then I don't feel nauseous. and then because I'm not as nauseous as I was the day before, I worry more. Almost every time, I have blood drawn, it's just fine, I get the results and then I throw up. My theory is that the worry hormones somehow overshadow the nausea...Don't overanalyze yourself. Try to let us pray for you and you just keep resting and praying. And do opt for chamomile tea tonight and try to sleep, dear.

Cheryl,

Have you asked her about subchorionic hematoma? That is when there is a small area on the underside of the placenta which is bleeding (not attached properly) with my first pregnancy I had some very serious bleeding. But baby was fine, I went on to have a healthy baby. I have had lots of bouts of bleeding, in pregnancy. I only say this because I want you to have the information that you aren't necessarily miscarrying simply because of a show of blood.

Prayers for you. (((Cheryl)))

Cheryl, I will offer our rosary for you and the baby tonight, and a Hail Mary right now. I bled like gangbusters for weeks on end early in this pregnancy, mix of twin loss and hematoma like Rebecca mentioned. Please rest.
