Please pray for my sister, Frances, as she battles (or succumbs) to her brain cancer. She is currently on ANOTHER highly experimental treatment at NIH (one of the drugs she is taking is often used for breast cancer patients - tamoxifin - she is taking it at 12 times the usual dose!).
She has almost no verbal communication, little facial expression (due to it being a frontal lobe tumor), and she is physically VERY weak. They are doing an MRI tomorrow to try to determine if these symptoms are due to tumor death (shorter term swelling) or tumor growth.
One of my sisters is visiting from Denver and having a very hard time of it. She has been taking care of Frances for just over a week and watched as she has gotten worse. Before she got here, Frances didn't need full time care. Now she does. Please add her to your prayers. Her name is Michele. She was anxious before she got here and disappointed in herself for being so "down" when she is usually the person that "rises to the occasion."
And if I could just ask you to add her 18 year old son Joshua (for obvious reasons) and my 80 year old parents (they have taken on a lot).

I am so very sorry. I will pray that your sister is healed and out of pain and frustration, and that all of you are given many,many graces to cope. I will pray and offer up also for your nephew and parents.

My MIL died of brain cancer in 2000. So, we have been through this as a family as well.....never easy.....
