I've been having pain when I eat cold things, it started out of the blue Tuesday when I had some ice cream. 
Ok, so maybe it was a sign from the Lord not to eat that. 
But it is consistent, and I have an appt. with the dentist at 11:00 EDT. Could you all please pray? I don't need a whopping dental bill with dh's job situation like it is - i.e., virtually non-existant. 
I thought of Chari right away - she's kind of the patron saint of dental problems, at least on this board!

Thank you Melinda and Nancy (and any others).
So far, it looks like a gum problem. Dr. says 'as far as he can tell' the tooth looks good.  He numbed me up and did a deep cleaning around the tooth....I'm still waiting for the novocaine to wear off... then the pain may set in.
But that's ok!! I was praying so hard that it wouldn't be anything major.

Oh Tami - I seem to be a magnet for mouth woes as well. Try to make sure you brush with a toothpaste specifically made for those with tooth sensitivities. You can find them anywhere.
I'll be praying that it goes away...
