Last week I posted this topic.
My son is getting more out of control every day. He screams that everyone is against him and no one likes him. I am worried and at my wit's end.
Please pray for him. Pray that we can figure out what is setting him off and for peace in our family.
Thank you.

Molly, I have been praying for you and your son since you first posted. I'll continue to do so. What does the pediatrician think? The bed-wetting stands out to me as somthing unusual--maybe related to his other difficulties?

Praying, Molly. I'm sure your son doesn't feel too good about the things he is doing, either. Praying that you will discern what you should do and what is really bothering him.
Peace,
Nancy

Molly, I'm with Noreen; perhaps it's time to get your pediatrician involved, at least to rule out some things and figure out if there could be physical causes that go beyond dietary triggers. It sounds as though he has so much to give and so many talents...I am sure he would welcome help and an explanation for why he is the way he is.
I can speak from experience on this one; my ds had severe tantrum issues and it took lots of education (for Mom to get inside his head) and lots of counseling (for him to have another trusted adult, away from school, to speak with and work out solutions when his temperamental "volcano" was ready to blow). He's still a pretty intense guy, and always will be, but we've all come a long, long way.
The big turning point for me was reading (through tears) Raising Your Spirited Child and realizing that I had to become this boy's best advocate, and that I needed to teach him and everyone else what his temperament was all about.
Of course, your son's issues are not necessarily the same as the ones we face(d), but that it's hard on everyone to wonder what's going on. Ruling out causes and triggers could possibly point you toward the root issues, whatever they might be.
I will be praying for you in a very special way this week and weekend (extra Mass Saturday!), for your peace of mind and for answers for all of you.
Many cyberhugs...

Molly,
I concur that getting your Pediatrician involved is a great idea. One of my children has some similar and very worrying outbursts. I read a book called The Explosive Child which helped a good deal...however, his solutions I had some difficulty with.
I'd be happy to talk to you privately if you'd like to PM me.
I'm praying for you and your son. I will add you to our prayer intentions when we daily pray for "Peace in OUR home."
God bless,
Kathleen

Hi Molly. I just saw this; we're having connection problems. I'm so sorry you're having a tough time. I will continue to keep you all in my prayers.
God bless you.

Molly I will be praying for you as well. We have a puzzling personality over here age 3.5! We too have late bed wetters, though I have asked 2 different Dr and several moms about this and I hear it is quite common.

Praying ... we also have an angry son. It can be so stressful for your family. Everyone has given such good advice. You just have to hang in there ...

I got The Explosive Child from the library earlier this week, hoping to get some ideas from it.
I am always wary of going to the pediatrician. The first choice always seems to be medication. While I would not rule that out, I would like to find alternatives to try first.
I did find out that he has been drinking his teenage brother's sweet tea, which is full of sugar and Red 40! So, maybe this might be a factor. Today is calmer, hopefully the tide is changing.
Thank you for your continued prayers and suggestions.
