Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

We're meeting with a surgeon on Wednesday to discuss our 3yo strabismus. We're not sure what to expect at this appointment, possibly just the details of the surgery itself. Our son's opthamologist says there is no rush for the surgery as ds has a mild case and is able to compensate for it with his stronger eye. But it is likely that the surgery will take place within the next year. The thought just makes me sick to my stomach. Dh is the strong and silent type, but I know that he's unnerved too. If you could just pray for us, I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

Many prayers. I have two sons with strabismus. One has been through surgeries, and the other will likely go through a surgery in the near future. I know how difficult it can be for you. Many, many prayers.

Praying, Caroline. We are facing surgery with two sons in the very near future. It is a scary thing to have doctors messing with our childrens' eyes, I know. May the Holy Spirit guide you, dh and the doctors to what is best for your son.

Thank you so much for the prayers. We couldn't have asked for a better appointment. The dr was very pleased with ds's vision and noticed that the posturing he uses to compensate for the strabismus is very slight. She told us she wouldn't even bother with surgery unless his vision or posturing started deteriorating.    This is wonderful, wonderful news. Thank you all for the prayers.
