Our daughter Emily, and her dh Russell, left NC yesterday for Ft. Campbell. The 9 hour drive turned into an 18 hour drive, what with road construction and a fatal accident(they sat without moving for 3 hours this morning...less than an hour away from Post) on the way. She has been up since 9 am yesterday, her feet are quite swollen, they are going to have to kennel the kitties before they can get into on post lodging, they don't know if they can keep the UHaul till Tuesday(when the housing office opens again), Finance is closed for the weekend, dh did just put some money in her account so at some point things will get better. She has been very stoic, but she's 6mo pregnant and the stress and exhaustion are really getting to her. Her phone needs to be charged, and Russell has to take his in with him to in processing.
Hungry, Tired,In need of shower, and severe need for sleep. That which does not kill us, makes us strong.

Oh, dear. I've been in her shoes as far as the stranded with kitties part goes (OK, I've been pregnant and PCSing, too, but not stuck in traffic like that...).

Lots of prayers headed Heavenward, and I'll offer my day for them.

Praying, Cindy. Reminds me of a few of my dh's and my "stuck in a B movie" travel stories. I'm still not laughing about some of them
