Praying! Did he tell you what area he is in?

My John is over there too. I finally got him to give me more info about what area he is in so I know whether I need to REALLY worry if I hear about something on the news. Thankfully, he is in a fairly quiet area but they did come under attack a few days ago.

Baghdad is such a huge area and if you have no idea what part someone is in, you don't know anything and fear everything you hear on the news. He kept saying he was at Camp Liberty, near the airport but he patrols a different area not too far from there. Now I know he is not in South Bagdad, etc. so when something happens in the south I pray for the soldiers there but I don't panic and think it could be him.

Praying they all come home safe and soon.

Yeah, I know exactly where he is. Baghdad (he is a Blackhawk Mechanic, so that might give you a better idea where he is). His AV BN is not a replacement group, so they have a lot of setting up to do. I took my memory card to get some pics made this morning and just got way too bleary eyed. It's not like we haven't been through this before.
