There has been a terrible tragedy here - actually in my and Brian's hometown of Spencer, MA. It's all over the news here in Massachusetts. Police are investigating an apparent murder-suicide, just a few hundred yards from
my SILs house. Brian played soccer with the husband, and his wife Cheri is still missing, assumed murdered. Paul committed suicide rather than be arrested. They have two children aged 9 and 11 who were released from the house just shortly before he ended his life. We were
at school with this couple, it is a small town and everyone is either related or friends. So, so sad.
Those poor children. Please pray for them. Please pray that Cheri's body is soon found. Pray for their souls. Pray for the families, friends, neighbors. Pray for the officers investigating and searcher searching, it's very hard for them because they never deal with these things - ever.

Events like this are always tragic no matter what, but when you have a connection it's even harder. Praying here for everyone involved.

Today is Sunday, 20th May. Still no sign of Cheri. We've had terrible wet, cold weather here for the search. Add to that the long hours and overwhelming sadness of the situation and I'm sure the searchers are weary in body and spirit. Please keep praying.
