Hey everyone...

Mary Beth (almost 8yo) broke her arm today...it's OBVIOUSLY broken and we are on our way to the ER. She's really hurting and scared. Please say a prayer for her.

Back from the ER now...

Bad news is, yes, it's definately broken. She broke her forearm.

Good news is, it shouldn't need anything more than a cast to heal. There was an obvious deformity in the arm, but the doc in the ER said it's probably not bad enough to need surgery or a reduction. (I hope the orthopedist has the same opinion!) Thank God! And I mean that! They put a splint on it in the ER and we will go to an orthopedist for a fiberglass cast on Thursday. I think Mary Beth will be getting a white cast to match her FHC dress, because her FHC is on June 10th! Who knows, maybe it'll be all healed up by then...maybe?

Thank you for your prayers...Mary Beth was sooo upset while we were getting ready to go to the hospital, and I was desperately trying to come up with SOMEHTING, ANYTHING to help her feel better (cause that's what moms do, right?), and I asked her if putting up a prayer request here would help her (this is after offers of ice cream, McDonald's, sprite) and she said, "Yes!" She was such a brave girl in the ER...she cried when they put the splint on, b/c they had to move her arm around a little, but she didn't fight them.

Thank you again! You guys are awesome prayer warriors!

Dawn, I'm glad no operation is needed, I'll pray for quick and straight healing.

Once the cast finally comes off, comfrey cream (or fresh comfrey) is a powerful bone knitter in the break's final stages, which is where it will be, when the cast comes off.

How are your poor adrenals doing?
