I'm waiting for the Sherrif's office to get here. I think I inadvertantly bought drugs at a garage sale today, and the *white powder* got all over my hand and my clothes.
Please pray that I don't *get* anything!

I bought what looked like a brand new backpack (orange, of course) for 50 cents.
I also bought Twister and some other games, and the ladies there put it all in the backpack for me.
I got home and I was emptyping out the games and found some gum wrappers, so I started opening all the pockets to make sure it was completely cleaned out. And I pulled out a cigarette.
My immediate thoughts were "oh, some kid is smoking..., hiding it from parents..., so glad I homeschool", etc.
Then I saw a red, shiny thing poking out from the end of it (the end you would light).
Now I'm just curious, and maybe have watched too much CSI in my day, so I take the cigarette into the bathroom and pull out the tweezers and start pullin on the red foil.
Wham! white powder everywhere.
and the sherrif just pulled in the driveway...I'll be back.

IT WAS METH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The Deputy assured me that I won't get anything from it being on my skin, and I did scrub well.
And I just scrubbed again!!
He confiscated the evidence, and is going over to the house now. Our county has a zero tolerance policy, but there is really no proof as to whose cigarette and backpack it was. He wants to go over there to talk to the people.
And get this --- I called Eric to tell him about this, and when I was describing where the garage sale was at he realized that it is his boss's parents farm.
Well, this has just been another day in my life...

my husband has taught us to be careful of all unknown pockets and bags........esp for needles....yuck and creepy

Thank you for all your prayers.
I want to ask everyone to pray for whoever owned the meth. From all I have read and heard about it, it is a POWERFUL, ADDICTIVE drug, and the people that use it no longer have any sense of morals or values. I'm grateful that I bought the backpack, not a young child who could have found it and "explored" it even more than I did. And I pray that whoever put it in the backpack gets the help they need.
