Dd is off early tomorrow on her first solo flight and 10-day trip (the 17 yo, not the 2yo  ).
I had to ask for your prayers, knowing how powerful they are....and I have a special request...I really would like a gate pass so I can get on the train and out to the concourse with her.
Right now I'm having the "I don't know if we really want to do this anymore," syndrome, but of course she still wants to go .

Praying for her, Gwen - and for you and that gate pass! We got one last year when we were helping my in-laws. Some airlines (like Frontier) are better about that.

When I first read this, I thought your 17yo dd was taking her first solo flight -- as the pilot! And when I read that it was 10 days long, I thought, "Boy, Gwen must be one of those homeschooling moms who reeeaaally encourages independence!"

my oldest dd will be 17 this month. My  did a little flip-flip-  when I read this. Gosh, they grow so fast.

Willa and I can totally relate, as you know........esp since M has the exact same destination!

We got gate passes for every trip we put the kids on.....praying!

Thank you all...you are wonderful. Well, it went well!! Knees shaking , lump in throat , and I was there to see her on the plane with my gate pass....oh and dd was fine too
My goodness Chari, our dds certainly are well socialized aren't they; how did that happen?
