Rachel is a teenager who suffers from complications from advanced Lyme Disease. She's had these problems for several years. Her parents had to go to the media to convince their health insurance provider to fund the experimental treatments that allow Rachel to function...she still has a lot of movement impairment and can't go to school full time. Now her parents are trying to work with their school district to help her effectively complete high school...and the school district is not helping. They are considering a residential program, but really don't want to do this. Please pray for them.
I just got a phone call from David, a Navy friend who has chronic, debilitating vertigo issues that no one seems to understand. He is stuck in the s-l-o-w medical system, and has about one year's time available to grind through this process, get a diagnosis, and get the treatment (whatever it is) completed successfully. Since it takes over a month to get an appointment, you can see that prayers are about all that can speed up this process. David and his lovely wife have six children...they're Christian homeschoolers who are really trusting that God has a plan and that He will see them through this career disaster. (If the treatment doesn't work, David will lose his Navy career.)

Praying! Please encourage your friend Rachel to seek out some natural remedies too. My dd was once considered "incurable" with Lymes when she was 6...I got mad and treated her with paragone amongst other things and she went on a sugar-free gluten-free yeast-free diet with juicing and she recovered very quickly.
