My three week old nephew was admitted to the hospital yesterday. Initial bloodwork is revealing a strep virus - but also a bacteria. They (doctors) haven't said "bacterial meningitis." The baby has had a spinal tap and a CAT scan earlier this afternoon.

Apparently, he slept all day Sunday and wouldn't eat. They took him to the hospital on Monday.

Please pray for the baby, his parents and his 3 year old sister.

Thank you all for your prayers. The baby is doing well - he is eating again and is alert. He has to remain in the hospital for the full round of antibiotics (1 more week) but is otherwise well. They ruled out meningitis, but aren't sure what the problem was...still - a healthy boy is a happy momma (and rest of family)!
