Would you join me in praying a special blessing for my mom? Today is her 80th birthday! 
In particular, I know the desire of her heart would be to see my brother healed. He has cancer that has spread to his liver, and the doctors give him <5% of survival.  My mother clings to hope – that someone has to make up that 5%, so why not him?! I am praying that the Lord gives her this gift for her birthday.
We celebrated yesterday, at a local restaurant, about 35 of us. We were in a separate room, but a couple not with us had come in to eat there as well.  My mom went up to chat with them, and the woman (without my mom saying anything) said she had had cancer in 1999, and that the doctors had given up hope completely, but she found “some medication” from some “pharmaceutical company” (the details from mom last night were really fuzzy) and she is now cancer-free. My mother, of course, jumped at the chance to learn more. The woman thinks the medication may even be illegal now. My mom said to me later, "I don't care, I’ll gladly go to jail if it helps my son to live."
She is beginning to believe that meeting this couple was Providence.
They then gave her a copy of a book, Jerusalem Countdown, maybe????? My mother was completely stymied by this one. She tried reading parts of it last night, and she told me “Well, it says that the Pope is a nice guy, but I don’t really understand what this book is about”  I think these people were most likely Christians.
Anyway, I would be most grateful for prayers for her today, her special day. Thank you all so much!
