Please pray for a family in our neighborhood who just lost their home to a fire. I don't know their names, but they had recently moved here from Germany. They have a 5 month old baby. Thankfully, the mom and baby got out (dad was at work) but the house is destroyed. Our neighborhood swimteam is taking up a collection for them. Thank you.

They will be in my prayers, Courtney. A friend of mine lost her home completely in a house fire last year and, thankfully, all 12 family members escaped unharmed. Anyway, I'm off today to buy a birthday present for the mom so they were at the top of my thoughts today and the coming week--it will be easy for me to remember your neighbors in my prayers! Thank God they are okay!

We also had friends lose a house a couple years ago. They all got out, but it's still a stressful time. Prayers coming for them....
