Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I get these strange bouts of depression that happened only twice since I lost the baby. I cry like a baby practically all day unless I keep productive. And it just happens one day every so often. I am *so* not like this. Just lately, I get down and don't know why. What can I do to prevent it? Are these depression times hormonal? I'm theorizing that it happens monthly, after I realize that I'm not fertile for the month. But I'm not sure exactly when it happened last time. Last time, I just cried willy-nilly with absolutely *nothing* on which to blame it. This time, an incident touched off the waterworks. But the incident was just a mere bump in my road. Certainly not something over which to shed tears. I am desperately praying that there won't BE a next time.

Anyway, I'm asking for your prayers that I get over whatever it is soon. I'm not a very good mom when I can't see my children through my tears.

Tina,
BTDT, for way too long. I would talk to your OB about the hormonal component. I have no idea what it is or what (if anything) can or should be done medically, but I had that same experience every month from my miscarriage until I was pregnant 19 months later--way too long to wait to talk about it. I'm praying for you.

Tina,
I'm praying for you..to find healing. I found comfort in asking the Blessed Mother to mother my dc when life went on a tail spin...I truly look back and can see her loving protection of my dc during some very emotionally charged years of trials. God Bless you and yours.

Praying for you, Tina. I had about a year or so of cycles that came with severe migraines -- all emotionally tied to not being pregnant, I think, since there seemed not to be hormonal ties. I hope that you start feeling better.

I didn't mention, which I suppose I should've but am a bit shy of doing so, that I get crampy as if contractions (seems like lower than my uterus) just before my body expels the egg. Is this normal? It's never happened before this miscarriage. Also, I find myself a bit more angry and intolerant of my husband lately.

Please keep storming heaven to see us through this dark and scary forest.

Dear Tina,

We will also keep you and your family in our prayers you can count on it.

We know very well how you are feeling.

These feeling are natural. They will pass. Sometimes it is good for dc to see that Mummy is weak and fragile (as we all are). I think it helps them to know how desperately we need to rely on Our Lord to keep us on the path of this turbulent life.

If your miscarriage has happen very recently then the pains are normal as your uterus adjusts back to normal.
Your emotions will be up and down with your hormones also. If you get a temperature it would be very wise to go see a doctor. Your cycle could be out of sync for a couple of months. My heart goes out to you Tina.

Our Heavenly Mother has got your little one very close to her I'm sure.
That is how I like to think of all our little ones in heaven - sitting by the foot of Our Lady in her beautiful garden by her heavenly throne, singing to her, being so close to the beatific vision and her lovingly gazing on them (and your little one is there also).
This thought has gotten me through many rough times.

I was inspired by Zelie Martin, St Therese's Mother who used to pray to all her little ones in heaven. So I do that now, pray to them (especially my beloved little Jonathan who died at 5 months) to help Mummy when I'm feeling pangs of grief or anxiety due to sadness and loss.

Our Lord loves you very much and your beautiful family. With a little saint in heaven it makes your family even stronger with a special connection to heaven. It makes the weakest become the strongest. So therefore they can be a source of great grace for us.

I hope my words don't upset you in anyway. I have been where you are through miscarraige and death and I feel very blessed by it in some way although it took a while to get to that place.

I pray that you will get there too.

You are deeply in my prayers.

Chemai
